Women's Refuges

We began delivering the women's refuge service in October 2016 from purpose built accommodation across two separate locations, offering a total of 22 one and two bedroom flats. The service is open to women (16+) with or without dependent children under 16 who are fleeing domestic abuse.

Our domestic abuse projects provide a safe place for women and their children to recover from trauma and rebuild their lives. Often the abuse will have been endured over many years and our skilled staff provide emotional and practical advice to help women and children to build the confidence, community networks, skills and resilience they need to enable them to resettle independently and free from fear.

To preserve a safe environment, the location of the refuges is not disclosed until the point of access.
