F4YP Celebrate Children in Need
The family fun night saw parents, carers, staff and young people enjoy an evening of games, dancing and general fun. Most people who came entered in to the spirit of the event by coming dressed in their PJ’s and onesies. There were some great onesies, but I think our very own Sarah Collins’ giraffe onesie needs to get a special mention!
Having been successful in securing funds from CiN on two occasions now, F4YP know first hand what an important part CiN plays in the helping organisations like us deliver much needed services.
“ The funding from CiN has enabled us to deliver exciting and fun packed holiday activities to YP who due to a variety of reasons, wouldn’t be able to access these types of activities. It also allows us to give extra support to families during times where school may be closed and additional support services are not available. We are lucky to have formed a great relationship with CiN and hope this continues in the future.” Sophie Stock F4YP
Last year F4YP saw a massive uplift in enquires. To support this growth we have broadened our age ranges, opening groups for mini’s (years 1-4) and juniors (years 5-8). This of course has seen a growth in the amount of funds required to support F4YP activities.
“My son age 11 and daughter age 8 have both thoroughly enjoyed the past week on the mini's and juniors courses. Fun 4 young is a fantastic well run service for all young kids, the staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating.” Parent
“My son had amazing 5 days at F4YP arts and sports course he made lots of new friends and had so much fun things to do the staff were brilliant and so professional. So glad I put his name down looking forward to the next course” Parent
If you would like to know more about our F4YP course and how they seek to mitigate several of the ‘risk’ factors associated with family breakdown whilst increasing protective factors that aimed to reduce the potential of young people aged 9-17 becoming displaced from their families, please check out the F4YP webpage.
We would like to specifically thank the following companies for the donations and support which helped the evening be the success it was.
Nisa Newsagents (Sharnbrook), The Party Hut, Fusion, Bala Sweet and Tandoori Centre, Ashpole Family Butchers, Lingers, Cloud 9 Academy, Clubercise, One Stop Brickhill, Denham Fish Bar, Andres, The Eatery.
