Its All Music And Singing Thanks To easycopiers
“easycopiers have loved working with YMCA Bedfordshire, it’s such a great charity to be supporting and the work they do with the kids and young people really seems to have a positive effect. Said Matthew Fincher easycopiers Business Development Manager
The support from easycopiers will allow YMCA Bedfordshire’s Fun 4 Young People project to run its Music Cub programme during the Autumn Term 2017. F4YP Music Club, one of its popular afterschool programmes, provides activities include choir, strings and rock music and runs for a period of 8 weeks. Music Club offers participants the opportunity to not only hold instruments in their hands and play them, but opens the door to areas of creativity that many simply can’t afford to access with normal music lesson cost being well outside their financial capacity. Music is one of the activities F4YP provide as research shows learning an instrument aids development in several physical and education areas.
“Performance is encouraged and the course ends with a small show highlighting the projects and skills achieved by the young people over their 8 weeks”. said Sophie stock F4YP Activities Coordinator.
“At the last Bedford’s River Festival a group from one of our music club was able to perform in front of a major crowd via the community stage. It was amazing to watch them perform with such confidence”
YMCA Bedfordshire use professionally qualified music tutors who have experience of working with young people and are able to support those who attend grow, not just in their music skills, but also in areas such as their communication, confidence, determination, resilience and self awareness. These are measured against improvements in the relevant area demonstrate through performance, formal assessment and personal feedback
“It was great that we had the opportunity to visit one of their summer schemes and watch some of activities” Said Richard Crosland easycopiers Marketing Manager
“It was very entertaining and quite clearly put massive smiles on the face of everyone there which was very nice to see!”
