Trustee Vacancies

YMCA Bedfordshire is a dynamic, forward thinking Charity/Housing Association, and a Limited Company by Guarantee. Supporting over 895 individuals accessing our services each year across the County of Bedfordshire, we also deliver a service in Hertfordshire. Through focused support and development initiatives we enable homeless people of all ages to integrate into society, helping them gain self-worth, education, employment and training, and move along the path from benefits to interdependent living.

As a Trustee you will play a vital role in overseeing the governance of the charity. You will be working alongside a small but dedicated Board of Trustees with a diverse pool of skills and experience. You must be a good role model and be able to have the confident respect and support of the Chief Executive and the Charities staff team.

The Board meets approximately four times a year, alongside sub-groups comprising Strategy & Planning, Finance & HR. The meetings are generally during the evenings but occasional weekend meetings may be required.

This is a highly rewarding and varied role, and we particularly encourage applicants with expertise in social housing, marketing, finance and strategy.

To apply for the role applicants must be sympathetic to the aims and objectives of YMCA Bedfordshire and ideally is a practising Christian.
